  • BLAIR HULL – FOUNDER & CHAIRMAN

    Blair Hull founded Hull Investments, LLC in 1999 and currently serves as the firm’s Chairman. Hull Investments was created to serve as a family office for three generations of the Hull family, and acts as parent company to a number of financial entities.

    Mr. Hull created Hull Tactical Asset Allocation, LLC, a registered investment advisor, in 2013. HTAA operates an actively managed ETF and utilizes advanced algorithms as well as macro and technical indicators to anticipate future market returns.

    Prior to launching Hull Tactical Asset Allocation, LLC, Mr. Hull was the founder of Hull Trading Company and served as that firm’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

    Hull Trading Company leveraged technological innovations and quantitative models in the field of listed derivatives market-making. At its peak, the company traded on 28 exchanges in nine countries and moved nearly a quarter of the entire daily market volume on some markets, executed over 7% of the index options traded in the United States, 3% of the equity options, and 1% of all shares traded daily on the New York Stock Exchange.

  • PETRA BAKOSOVA – CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

    Petra Bakosova’s background is in algorithmic trading across multiple asset classes, mathematical modeling, and risk management. She joined Hull Investments, LLC in 2014, and worked on projects for its proprietary trading firm Ketchum Trading, LLC before transferring to its quantitative asset management unit HTAA, LLC. Ms. Bakosova has helped shape the face and direction of HTAA prior to and since the launch of its first public product and continues to perform research on a number of HTAA strategies.

    Ms. Bakosova began her career in quantitative finance at Arbhouse, LLC as the company’s first strategist. Her expertise in high frequency algorithmic market making proved to be a valuable precursor to the systematic, quantitative approach sought after at HTAA. Prior to Hull Investments, she cut her teeth on stock market indices modelling during her tenure as a quantitative researcher at Toji Trading Group, LLC.

    Ms. Bakosova holds a Master of Science degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago. She pursued her undergraduate studies in applied mathematics at the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia and Halmstad University in Halmstad, Sweden.

  • Petri Fast - Chief Operating Officer

    Dr. Petri Fast is a quantitative strategist who combines deep mathematical expertise with 18 years of successful trading implementation across multiple asset classes.

    Beginning his career as a computer scientist in supercomputing applications at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Dr. Fast transitioned to finance in 2007, joining Citadel’s high-frequency trading team. His subsequent career has included developing innovative futures and equities strategies at several premier Chicago trading firms.

    In 2013, Dr. Fast joined Hull Investments and was promoted in 2014 to be the Chief Operating Officer of Ketchum Trading, LLC, its proprietary futures trading unit. He assumed his current leadership role at Hull Tactical in 2022, where he spearheads the implementation and operation of the firm’s quantitative strategies.

    Dr. Fast holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Courant Institute at New York University and brings analytical methodology to complex financial markets.

  • Euan Sinclair - SENIOR FINANCIAL ENGINEER

    Euan Sinclair is a trader with over twenty-five years of professional option trading experience.

    Dr Sinclair holds a PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Bristol and has written three books, “Volatility Trading” (two editions), “Option Trading: Pricing and Volatility Strategies and Techniques” and “Positional Option Trading: An Advanced Guide” as well as numerous papers and articles. He is a member of the editorial board of The Journal of Investment Strategies.

    Immediately before joining Hull Tactical, he was a trader at Bluefin Europe and before that was CEO at FactorWave, a fintech startup.

  • Harold Janecek - DIRECTOR of BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

    Harold Janecek, MBA, CETF®, is a seasoned sales director with extensive experience in the Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) industry. He has a strong track record of leading startup ETF firms to highly profitable organizations.   He has raised an estimated $4.5B in assets over his career.

    Throughout his career, Harold has held key positions in several financial firms including,  Amplify ETFs, Exchange Traded Managers Group and PowerShares. All of which he made significant contributions to their success.

    He earned his BS from Illinois Benedictine College and an MBA from Benedictine University.  He also holds and affiliate membership to the CFA Society of Chicago.

  • Laurent Lanteigne - Financial Engineer

    Laurent Lanteigne is a financial engineer with over three years of experience in quantitative analysis of trading strategies.

    Starting his professional journey as a quantitative strategist in Credit Derivatives markets at Morgan Stanley, Laurent was exposed to trading and investing before joining HTAA, LLC in 2021 to help build the proprietary trading project. His research projects varied from volatility forecasting, implied volatility modeling, developing risk models, creating tools to help the trading desk, and much more.

    His experience with machine learning, data management, and software development is now being used to help develop the market timing strategy.

    Mr. Lanteigne holds a Master of Science degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago. He pursued his undergraduate studies in Mathematics and Computational Finance at Concordia University and Honours Physics at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

  • Kaijun Lin - Financial Engineer

    Kaijun holds a Master of Science in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago. He has been a financial engineer with the firm for two years specializing in systematic option trading strategies, with knowledge spanning strategy design, strategy automation, and trading system design.

    Aishvi is a Financial Engineer at HTAA, specializing in quantitative modeling, data curation, and production systems for ETFs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, bringing a unique blend of market insight and technical expertise to systematic investing.
